With this WHNP MSN, you can learn to treat women’s specialized health needs across their life cycle. As a WHNP, you have the opportunity to work with complex issues, including pregnancy, childbirth, post-natal care, wellness examinations, family planning, and health issues that occur more commonly in women, such as breast cancer. This program’s industry-relevant coursework can help you learn how to promote overall health for women through nurse management or advanced practice.”

Admission requirements

According to Regis College, there are three entry points into the program:

1. Registered Nurse with Associate Degree Entry (RN to MSN)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Must complete a college-level statistics course prior to the start of classes
  • RN license
  • General Education courses may be required, depending on student’s prior undergraduate coursework

2. Registered Nurse with Non-Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Entry (BS to MSN)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Must complete a college-level statistics course prior to the start of classes
  • RN license

3. Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Entry (BSN to MSN)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Must complete a college-level statistics course prior to the start of classes
  • RN license

Admissions requirements:

  • All applicants must submit an online application form.
  • All applicants must submit a non-refundable application fee of $75 (payable online via secure server).
  • Applicants are required to provide official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, or the international equivalent if applicable.
  • Current resume.
  • Statement of Purpose: Describe career and professional goals and why applicant is applying to Regis College’s MS in Nursing program (500 word minimum).
  • Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation (to be uploaded directly by each reference) to the online application site.
