Admission requirements According to Western Governors University, to be eligible for admission to the RN-MSN program, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Possess an associate’s degree or diploma in nursing, such as an ADN or ASN degree.
  • Possess a current, unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license.
  • Submit a résumé and be actively working as an RN at the time of application and enrollment.
  • Submit to a criminal background check through American Databank. California residents are also required to provide proof of current immunizations. Additional fees apply.
  • Submit an official transcript verifying receipt of your bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • Submit official transcripts for all prior college academic work completed.
