Keep your momentum and reach your goals faster with Southern New Hampshire University’s Accelerated RN-to-MSN online degree pathway, which allows registered nurses to move through a RN-BSN-MSN track without a break in continuity. The Accelerated RN to MSN online track is perfect for professional nurses with defined education goals. This degree option offers a seamless academic pathway by allowing eligible BSN students to complete two graduate-level courses within their BSN program. Prior to moving into the MSN program, students must successfully achieve their BSN degree at SNHU.

Concentrations Clinical Nurse Leader: Southern New Hampshire University’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program is based on the competencies and practice standards defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Graduates of SNHU’s online MS in Nursing Clinical Nurse Leader are eligible to sit for the national CNL exam offered by the Commission on Nurse Certification

Nurse Educator: Combine your clinical expertise and passion for teaching in the online MSN in Nurse Educator program at Southern New Hampshire University. The online MSN in Nurse Educator program will prepare you to lead and teach future nursing professionals as an academic or clinical nurse educator in major universities, community colleges, hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Admission requirements According to Southern New Hampshire University, to be eligible for admission to the MSN program, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • An active unencumbered RN license equivalent to NCLEX-RN. If a student holds active licenses in more than one state/jurisdiction all licenses must be unencumbered.
  • An earned diploma or associate degree in nursing from a state-approved or nationally accredited nursing program and a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA
  • Students who have graduated from a nursing program within three months of application may be admitted if all other admission requirements are met. Evidence of licensure must be provided within three months from date of admission.

At this time SNHU is not enrolling nursing students from Washington state.
