Program Overview
According to George Washington University:
“This program option is a collaboration between the George Washington University School of Nursing, which awards an MSN, and Shenandoah University, which awards a post-graduate certificate. The program stresses the integration of research and nurse-midwifery practice with a strong emphasis on women’s health and primary care from antepartal and perinatal care through postpartum and neonatal care and role development. The program prepares graduates as nurse-midwives who are eligible to sit for the national certification exam given by the American Midwifery Certification Board.” |
