“Whether you choose to work in a clinic or hospital as a nurse executive, continue as an advanced-practice registered nurse or serve as a nurse educator with additional training, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares advanced-practice registered nurses, nurse informaticists and nurse leaders to translate existing research into innovative solutions that improve healthcare outcomes and promote change leadership in healthcare organizations. Coursework for the DNP covers theoretical topics such as healthcare information technology, emerging areas of human health, applied science in advanced nursing, translation of research into practice, population management, analysis, patient outcomes, and sustainable change and leadership for advanced nursing practice.”
