University of Arizona – Online Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program

Program Overview

According to the University of Arizona:

“The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certificate is a four-semester, part-time opportunity for working registered nurses. Campus experiences complement online course content for learning and demonstrating health assessment skills. Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to take an AGACNP national board certifying examination.”

Admission requirements According to the University of Arizona, to qualify for entry into the AGACNP graduate certificate program, applicants must have a Master of Science in nursing and RN experience in an acute care setting, as well as:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Completed online University of Arizona Graduate College application
  • Unrestricted RN licensure within the U.S. AND current APRN certification (NP, CRNA, CNS, CNM)
  • Advanced practice national certification
  • Transcripts:Submit official sealed transcripts of all post-secondary coursework attempted or completed, whether or not it is related to nursing.
